John Sharp

John has over 20 years’ experience in investment banking, beginning his career in equity sales trading with Cenkos Securities (now Cavendish). During 13 years there, he was part of a consistently profitable team focused on the small and mid-cap equity space. He later served as Director of Trading at Arden Partners until its acquisition by Zeus Capital in 2023.

Since 2019, John has focused increasingly on the education and communication side of the capital markets, helping growth companies and investors better understand market structure, regulatory developments, and fundraising dynamics.

Through Signal Markets, John delivers specialist webinars and briefings on regulatory reforms such as the FCA’s Public Offers and Admissions to Trading Regime (POATRs), Public Offer Platforms (POPs), and PISCES. His sessions are designed to bridge the gap between regulation, market practice, and investor engagement.
